- With a tape measure, measure the distance around the cast or bandage at it's widest part. If you don't have a tape measure, wrap a string around the leg, and measure the string with a ruler.
- Measure the height from the ground to the top of the area to be protected.
- Choose the closest sizeup from what you measure.
Example: if your dog's bandage/cast measures 12" around and 13" high, choose the circumference as 13" and the height as 15".
Tips for choosing the correct size: If your measurement is very close to the circumference, you may want to choose the next size up. Often injuries require bandage changes. You may end up with a larger cast or bandage with the next bandage or cast change.
The circumference is the distance around NOT the distance across!
The paw area of the Protector determines the circumference. The top opening of the Protector is about 1 inch wider than the circumference that you order.
